My Story

Since I was a young girl.  I have always had a passion for fashion!  As a teenager, Seventeen Magazine was my bible.  I could not wait to buy it every month.  It was my "text book" for all things fashion.  At that time from public school to high school, kids were taught arts and crafts.  Everything from millinery, sewing, and painting.  Which peeked my interest even more.  What a wonderful time to have been a part of a great school system.  By the time I reached high school, friends and family were asking my advise on the latest fashions---what to wear and what looked best on them.

I continued my love affair with fashion all through high school.  After high school, life happened and I turned my focus to other things. For many years I tried to fit my rounds thoughts into a square peg finally, I stepped out in faith and turned my dream of being in the "rags" business into reality!

My commitment to helping women look and feel their best prompted me to further my education at The Parson School of Design and The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) where I took classes in sewing, design and image consulting.  I received a Certificate of completion in both courses.

The vision of Gracefully Done Statements In Fashion is to create fashions that do not dominate its wearer, but sets marked accents and lends a distinct aura.  I started my business committed to helping women look and feel good in mind, body and spirit.  After more than thirty years in business, I am still committed to the same vision.

To quote a dear friend:  "Fashion is a statement that says, I look good, I fee good, and I'm wearing it well."

My motto is:  You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
